Please read the following information before proceeding

  • A death that has not been referred to the coroner should be registered within 5 days of documentation being received by the registration service.

  • You must have received notification from the Medical Examiners Office or Coroners Office that they have issued the relevant paperwork before booking the appointment.

  • The information given for the death entry must be accurate as any errors made are subject to a correction consideration fee.

Death Certificates

We recommend that you pay for death certificates in advance to reduce the time taken for your appointment.

Please have your credit / debit card to hand before continuing to book online to pay for certificates as part of the booking process.

Death certificates are required to notify banks, private pensions, insurance companies and other financial institutions.

You can purchase additional certificates at the appointment if you require more.
